Frequently Asked Questions
Guests:
The Barn Owl Venue (BOV) can easily accommodate up to 120 guests seated in the barn. If you have a larger group there is plenty of room outside for more tables. There is plenty of parking onsite for all your guests and guests needing extra help can be dropped off at the venue door prior to parking.

Decorating and places to get ready the day of the wedding:
The venue is available to you to start decorating the night before your wedding. We will have the tables and chairs set for you to bring in your items and start decorating. Once you are done decorating and after the rehearsal the pergola area can be rented for a rehearsal dinner if you so choose.
On the day of the wedding there are several space options for the wedding party to use for dressing. The house can be available for the bridal party and downstairs is a pool table and room for the groomsmen to relax and get ready in. The barn itself also has a small area for the bride's party to get ready in.

Coming out to the venue prior to the event:
You are welcome to come out to the event venue as many times as you need to take measurements, show it to family or friends or vendors or plan your decorations. We ask that you call ahead to make an appointment so we can be sure it is available for you to see.
Set-up and clean up:
The Barn Owl will have all indoor tables/chairs set-up on the rehearsal day so that the couple may decorate/place table settings that day. Then, on the morning of the wedding, The Barn Owl will set-up all outdoor furniture – outdoor tables/chairs.
Clients will need to retrieve all items they brought on site and put all trash in available trash cans. The house must be cleared out the night of the wedding, unless you have rented it for the night. All wedding gifts must be taken home the night of the event. The Barn Owl is responsible for trash disposal and cleaning the tables and floors.
Event/Wedding Insurance?
We strongly recommend having wedding insurance. Our insurance protects our business, it does not protect the client and their guests. Damage, weather, sudden cancellations, global pandemics – there’s a bunch of reasons why it is a good idea (and it is usually pretty affordable). If you need more convincing – The Knot has some good reasoning here.
